Iran frees Japanese national held since January

The person released is believed to be a journalist at Japan's NHK public television.

Tokyo: Japan said Tuesday, April 7, a Japanese national who had been detained in Iran since January has been released.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara told reporters that his release was confirmed on Monday.
