Mumbai: At a time when India and Pakistan’s entertainment space remains under constant debate, actress Sargun Mehta is grabbing attention for openly expressing her love for Pakistani dramas.
During a recent appearance, Sargun was seen praising Pakistani television and said she enjoys their dramas a lot. The actress said, “I have watched all your shows. I enjoy your dramas a lot. I think I have watched more dramas than a Pakistani.”
Her statement quickly caught attention as she also mentioned being familiar with several popular Pakistani stars. From Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed to Hania Aamir and Bilal Abbas Khan, Sargun made it clear that her interest in Pakistani dramas is not casual viewing but something she genuinely follows.
The comment comes at a time when conversations around India and Pakistan are once again sensitive, especially when it comes to films, artists and cultural exchange. However, Sargun’s praise shows how stories continue to travel beyond borders, even when the political climate remains tense.
Pakistani dramas have enjoyed a strong fan base in India for years because of their writing, performances and emotional storytelling. Sargun’s confession only adds another celebrity name to the long list of Indian viewers who admire the format and depth of Pakistani television.
On the work front, Sargun is currently gearing up for the release of Carry On Jatta 4, one of the most awaited Punjabi films of the year. The comedy franchise already has a massive fan base, and after the record breaking success of Carry On Jatta 3, expectations from the fourth part are even higher. The film stars Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon and Sargun Mehta, and is set to release worldwide in cinemas on June 26, 2026.
