Two men arrested with 750 gms of ganja in Quthbullapur

The duo was allegedly involved in selling the contraband, said the police.

Hyderabad: The District Task Force Quthbullapur team of the Prohibition and Excise Department seized 750 grams of ganja from two persons allegedly involved in selling the contraband within the limits of the Quthbullapur Excise Station.

The suspects were identified as 18-year-old P. Yashwanth and 24-year-old V. Vijay.

Acting on information about ganja sales in the area, the DTF team intercepted the two and recovered 750 grams of ganja from their possession.

The suspects, along with the seized ganja, were handed over to the Quthbullapur Excise Station for further action.

As recently as last week, the Jeedimetla police had arrested a man and a woman near Krishna Kunja Garden in Quthbullapur and seized around 22 kg of ganja from them.

A case has been registered at Jeedimetla Police Station under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) (producing, possessing, selling, purchasing, transporting, or using a commercial quantity of cannabis) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
