Despite hailing from a modest background, the 30-year-old has emerged as a standout performer for the Men in Blue, showcasing exceptional talent and determination. The star cricketer is celebrating his birthday today and on his special day he opened up about a crucial moment in his cricketing career, revealing that he once contemplated leaving the sport altogether.

In a heartfelt video shared by the BCCI on their Instagram handle, Siraj provided fans with a glimpse into his hometown of Hyderabad, offering insights into his humble beginnings. Recalling a challenging period in 2019-20, he shared, “2020-19 mein socha tha yeh last year apne aap ku deru mein, uske baad cricket he chord detu..(I had thought I am giving myself this last year and after that I will leave the game).”

The video also showcased Siraj’s visit to the Eidgah ground, where his cricketing journey began. Expressing his love for the ground, he stated, “As soon as I land in Hyderabad, my first thought is that I will go home. After home I will go to Eidgah. Wherever in the world I go. I don’t get so much peace anywhere, to be honest. Whenever I go there, I get so much peace.”

Today, Mohammed Siraj stands as one of the core members of the Indian cricket team and is a star bowler for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). With the upcoming IPL edition set to kick off on March 22, Siraj is gearing up to showcase his skills on the cricketing stage once again.
