Hyderabad: In the past week, from August 15 to August 21, Cyberabad SHE Teams conducted 109 decoy operations and caught 18 people red-handed while indulging in indecent acts in public places.
Seventeen petty cases were booked, and counselling was conducted. SHE Teams received 25 complaints from victims, resulting in three petty cases and counselling for the remaining.
The Cyberabad Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) rescued two boys and apprehended four accused in two Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (PITA) cases. The accused were apprehended in a Juvenile Justice case.
Efforts were made to reunite 32 married couples in Family Counselling Centres/Centre for Development and Empowerment of Women (CDEW) Centres.
As many as 4,974 people participated in awareness programs conducted by the department in and around the city. Topics like human and child trafficking, eve teasing, social media harassment, child marriages, child rights, child labour, stalking, begging, cyber bullying, cyber fraud, etc were discussed.
