Hyderabad: South Central Railway has announced a series of special trains from Hyderabad to clear the Christmas and New Year rush, centring operations on the city’s Charlapalli terminal.
The services will primarily connect Hyderabad with Kakinada, Tirupati and Pandharpur, offering additional options for festive season travellers.
Hyderabad–Kakinada specials
A special train (No. 07196) will run from Hyderabad (Charlapalli) to Kakinada between December 24 and 30. It will operate on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, departing Charlapalli at 7.30 pm and reaching Kakinada at 9.00 am the following day.
In the return direction, train No. 07195 will run from Kakinada to Hyderabad (Charlapalli) from December 28 to 31. This service will operate on Sundays and Wednesdays, leaving Kakinada at 7.50 pm and arriving at Charlapalli at 8.30 am the next morning.
Hyderabad–Tirupati specials
Weekly specials have been announced between Hyderabad and Tirupati during the festive period. The Tirupati–Hyderabad (Charlapalli) special train (No. 07000) will run from December 16 to 30, departing Tirupati every Tuesday at 4.30 pm
In the opposite direction, the Hyderabad (Charlapalli)–Tirupati special (No. 07031) will operate from December 19 to January 2. This train will leave Charlapalli every Friday at 3.35 pm and travel via Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Vinukonda, Donakonda, Giddalur, Nandyal and Kadapa, providing connectivity to several key towns en route.
Pandharpur–Tirupati Sunday special
To further ease the holiday rush, a special service has been introduced between Pandharpur and Tirupati.
The Pandharpur–Tirupati special train (No. 07032) will run on Sundays from December 21 to January 4, departing Pandharpur at 8.00 pm
