Indian Consulate in Dubai offers walk-in NRI certificates for Class 12 students

One-day walk-in service for NRI certificates scheduled on Sunday, April 4.

Dubai: The Consulate General of India in Dubai has announced a one-time walk-in facility for Class 12 students seeking NRI certificates, easing the process ahead of the college admission season in India.

In an advisory issued on X on Wednesday, April 1, the consulate said eligible students can apply without prior appointments at any BLS centre across Dubai and the Northern Emirates on Saturday, April 4.

Documents required

The special arrangement has been introduced to support students facing time constraints during admissions. Typically, applicants are required to book appointments in advance, but the consulate has relaxed this requirement considering the urgency.

Students must carry their Class 12 documents along with proof of college admission while applying. These documents are essential to process the NRI certificate on the same day.

Applicants have been advised to arrive early, as services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and delays may occur due to high demand.

The consulate has also directed applicants to refer to the official application form available on its website and ensure all required documents are submitted as per the guidelines.
