Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has reiterated that private sector companies employing 50 or more workers must meet their Emiratisation targets for the first half of 2026 by June 30.
In a statement issued on Monday, June 22, the ministry urged eligible firms to take the necessary steps to comply with the requirements before the deadline.
MoHRE encouraged companies to use the Nafis platform, which connects employers with Emirati job seekers and supports efforts to increase the participation of UAE nationals in the private sector.
The ministry noted that businesses demonstrating strong Emiratisation performance will continue to benefit from incentives, including membership in the Emiratisation Partners Club. Members receive advantages such as reduced MoHRE service fees and priority access to government procurement opportunities.
According to MoHRE, these measures are aimed at supporting companies while advancing national workforce development goals.
The ministry also warned that financial contributions will be imposed on companies that fail to meet the required targets. Enforcement measures against non-compliant firms will take effect from July 1, 2026, in accordance with UAE labour regulations.
