Waqf Darbar in Hyderabad; Mahmood Paracha, team received complaints related to waqf

The complainants’ notified that acres of Waqf lands existing in Telangana were being encroached and unlawfully sold by attaching fake NOCs.

Hyderabad: A group of lawyers, and Waqf activists headed by Mahamood Paracha, senior advocate, Supreme Court on Sunday, met and discussed the Waqf land encroachments and illegal selling of the properties.

The discussion took place at the Waqf Darbar at Abid Ali Khan centenary hall, Siasat Abids where Mahmood Paracha and his team comprising 30 advocates received complaints related to waqf properties.

A 15-day was deadline set for Telangana State Waqf Board (TSWB) to take action against the land mafia or else threatened to face legal initiatives.’

Over 80 percent of Waqf land is said to have been encroached and the administration frequently fails to take corrective measures.

The complainants’ notified that acres of Waqf lands existing in Telangana were being encroached and unlawfully sold by attaching fake NOCs.

They sought TSWB to carry out immediate inspection and ensure removal of encroachments from Waqf lands.

“We have started a campaign ‘Mission Save Waqf and Save Constitution’ in Telangana. People are being made aware of the Waqf properties with the help of joint efforts in this drive,” said the senior advocate.

“I sincerely appeal to people from the Muslim community to come forward and safeguard the properties. A particular website will be created for uploading the documents related to Waqf properties and on the basis of the information, a police complaint will be lodged against the land grabber,” briefed Mahmood Paracha,

“I suggest people to become Waqf-Crusaders and contribute their support in this cause. Try to identify the Waqf properties and if you find it and then share the details with us. We will give legal help to the people,” said Mahmood Paracha.
