Hyderabad: The Telangana government has announced the Gaddar Cine Awards for the best films from 2014 to 2023, to be held on Ugadi this year.
The committee working out the modalities for presenting the Gaddar Cine Awards in various categories has completed its task, and has invited applications for the awards in various categories from March 13, at the Telangana Film Development Corporation’s office at AC Guards in Lakdikapul.
In addition to best actors and actresses, and various technicians in film-making, the awards will be presented in various categories including best national integration film, best feature film, best children’s film, heritage film, environmental film, historic film, animation film, documentary film, social effect film, and short film.
It has been decided to present awards recognizing the contributions of Paidi Jayaraju, Kantha Rao, and M. Prabhakar Reddy to the Telugu film industry.
For the first time, an award will also be presented to an Urdu film in the feature category.
Best articles and books on Telugu films are also being given the awards.
