Former administrator of the Salarjung Museum, Shaik Abdullah Bajabar, well-known for his Darse Quran and charity work, passed away at the age of 92 years in New York, USA.
Earlier in his career, he also served as an audit officer in the office of the Accountant General of India.
He is survived by four sons and a daughter, all of whom are highly educated and well-known in the US for their activism and social work. He also leaves behind 26 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest in Long Island, next to his wife, Amtul Butool, a retired principal and educator who passed away last month.
The deceased was the father of Dr. Shaik Ubaid, the founder of numerous organizations and alliances in the U.S., such as the Indian Muslim Council – USA, Coalition Against Genocide, Burma Task Force, Muslim Peace Coalition, ASPAIRE, and CeaseFireNow.
