Hyderabad: In view of the heavy rains forecast in Telangana, including Hyderabad, till June 27 (Saturday), the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate has urged companies and educational institutions to allow early logouts for their employees and students.
The city is likely to experience a heavy downpour after 7 pm.
The Commissionerate, on Monday, June 22, issued a rain alert and requested employees leave from 3:30 pm onwards to avoid getting stuck in traffic and waterlogging points.
This will ensure the smooth functioning of essential and emergency services under adverse weather conditions, the advisory said.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, has forecast heavy rainfall across the state until June 27. Several districts are likely to experience thunderstorms, lightning and squally winds during the period.
In Hyderabad, the weather department has forecast moderate to heavy rains or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds till June 24.
