PM Modi’s Hyderabad visit: Cops announce ‘no drone zone’ on Mar 15

The Rachakonda commissioner Tarun Joshi said that the move will be implemented under section u/s 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code 1973.

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police announced the creation of a ‘no drone zone’ bounded by a circle of 5 km radius from Mirjalguda to Malkajgiri X Roads, keeping in mind the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the city as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The Rachakonda commissioner Tarun Joshi said that the move will be implemented under section u/s 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code 1973 (Act II of 1974) which activities of using Remotely Controlled Drones or Para-Gliders or Remotely Controlled Micro-Light aircraft or air balloons in its limits.

Further, the prohibition the flying of drones will also be enforced within 5 kilometres of the parameter of the Airport in Hyderabad and a distance of 3 km from the perimeter of any civil, private or defense airports.
