Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, after delivering two consecutive blockbusters with ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, is all set for his third film of 2023, ‘Dunki’, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. This comedy-drama revolves around an illegal immigration technique called ‘Donkey Flight’. The movie is scheduled to hit the screens on December 22.
Adding to the excitement, Boman Irani, who plays the role of a London-based lawyer in the film, hinted at another mega success, suggesting that ‘another 1000 crore film is loading’. Irani indirectly praised the movie’s outcome, dubbing it ‘Shah Rukh’s hat-trick’.
SRK has enjoyed immense success with his previous releases, Pathaan and Jawan, setting new global box office records and reaching the 1000-crore mark. If Dunki manages to achieve the same feat, Shah Rukh Khan will become the first Bollywood actor to deliver three 1000-crore hits in a single year.
The star-studded cast of Dunki includes Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, Dharmendra, Satish Shah, Parikshit Sahni, and Vicky Kaushal in a cameo appearance. Fans can look forward to the film’s release in the Christmas week this year, promising a festive treat at the cinemas.
