Old City Bonalu: Routes to avoid on July 16, 17 in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The city police on Friday announced traffic diversions and parking arrangements in connection with Simha Vaahini Sri Mahankali Lal Darwaza Bonalu Procession at Charminar, Mirchowk, Bahadurpura areas of Old City on July 16 and 17.

As per the announcement, the TS and APSRTC buses will not be allowed towards Charminar, Falaknuma and Nayapool and will be stopped at old CBS, Afzalgunj, Darulshifa X Roads, Chatrinaka and Engine Bowli and will take alternate routes open to them.

The main road between Madina X -Roads to Engine Bowli, Via Gulzar House – Charminar monuments, Charminar Bus terminal, Himmatpura, Nagulchinta, Aliabad will be closed for all types of vehicular movement till the conclusion of the Bonalu processions.

Diversion points

• The Traffic coming from Enginebowli, Falaknuma will not be allowed towards Aliyabad, and it will be diverted at the new Shamsheergunj “T” junction towards –Goshala, Tadban or Goshala Misri Gunj, Khilwath.
  
• Traffic from MBNR x Road is not allowed towards Aliyabad, and it will be diverted at Engine Bowli towards –Jahanuma, Goshala, Tadban or Goshala Misri Gunj, Khilwath.
  
• Traffic from Nagulchinta and Sudha Talkies should not be allowed towards Lal Darwaza Temple and it will be diverted at Nehru Mode towards Sudha Talkies via Gowlipura.
  
• Traffic from Gowlipura towards Lal Darwaza mode will be diverted at Sudha Talkies towards Mirchowk via Hari Bowli.
  
• Traffic from Pancha Mohalla (Charminar) will not be allowed towards Nagulchinta, it will be diverted towards Hari Bowli, Voulga Hotel and Misrigunj.
  
• Traffic from Rajanna Bowli towards Lal Darwaza temple will be diverted at Venkateshwar Swamy temple (Baba Bar) lane towards Ramaswamy Gunj.
  
• Traffic coming from Kandikalgate will not be allowed towards Lal Darwaza Temple road and it will be diverted at Old Chatrinaka PS “Y” junction towards Gowlipura.
  
• Traffic coming from Balagunjs will not be permitted towards Lal Darwaza Temple and it will be diverted at Laxhmi Devi Pan shop towards Nehru Statue Nagulchinta Junction.
  
• Traffic coming from Uppuguda and Chatrinaka side via. Gowlipura will not be allowed towards Mohammed Shukoor mosque, and it will be diverted at Balraj Jewelers Point Gowlipura X roads towards Moghalpura Police Station.
  
• Traffic coming from Kandikalgate flyover to Chatrinaka OP will be diverted towards VN Reddy Nagar Kaman and Uppuguda Janda.
  
• Heavy vehicles coming from Old Chandrayangutta to Chatrinaka vehicles should not be allowed and will be diverted towards Santoshnagar and Chandrayangutta.
  
• The Traffic coming from Fateh Darwaza will not be allowed towards Himmatpura X Roads/ Rajesh Medical Hall and it will be diverted at Volga Hotel “T” Junction towards Khilwath Road.

• Traffic coming from Gowlipura will not be allowed towards Sudha Theater and will be diverted at Mohammed Shakur mosque towards Mirchowk via Volta Hotel, Moghalpura and Ethabar Chowk.
  
• Traffic coming from Chatrinaka OP towards Gowlipura will be diverted at Gandhi Statue towards Sri Ram Nagar colony, CIB Quarters, Sulthan Shahi, Lalitha Bagh and Moghalpura.
  
• Traffic coming from Fathey Darwaza towards Himmathpura road it should not be allowed towards Himmathpura main road and Nagulchinta and it will be diverted towards Voulga Hotel via Qazipura.
  
• The Traffic coming from Meer-ka-Daira and Moghalpura will not be allowed towards Hari Bowli “X” Roads and it will be diverted towards the Moghalpura Water Tank area.
  
• The Traffic coming towards Charminar main road from the Esra Hospital side & Moghalpura Water Tank will not be allowed & will be diverted towards Bibi Bazar.
  
• The Traffic coming from Bhavani Nagar and Mirjumla Talab will not be allowed towards Charminar and will be diverted at Bibi Bazar X Roads towards Alijah Kotla (MiralamMandi road).
  
• The Traffic coming from Alijha Kotla / Moghalpura areas towards Charminar via Sardar Mahal road will be diverted at Chowk Maidan Khan towards Hafiz Danka Masque / Arman Hotel via Sri Gayatri Collage and Alijha Kotla.
  
• The Traffic coming from Yakutpura will not be allowed towards Gulzar House and it will be diverted at Etabar Chowk towards Mir Alam Mandi and Alijha Kotla road.
  
• The Traffic coming from Purani Haveli towards Tipu Khana Masjid via Chatta Bazar will be diverted at Lakkad Kote ”X” -Roads towards APAT Junctions or Dar-ul-Shifa.
  
• The Traffic coming from Chadrghat / Noorkhan Bazar / S.J Rotary / Shivaji Bridge will not be allowed towards Salarjung Museum Road and it will be diverted at S.J Rotary towards Purani Haveli Road, Shivaji Bridge and Chadarghat.
  
• The Traffic coming from Khilwath Road or Moosabowli Road will not be allowed towards Laad Bazar and it will be diverted at Motigalli “T” junction towards Khilwat Playground or Moosa Bowli.
  
• The Traffic coming from Bandi ke adda and Ghansi Bazaar will not be allowed towards Gulzar House and it will be diverted at Mitte-Ke-Sher (Sher-E-Batul Kaman) towards Ghansi Bazar and Chelapura.
  
• The Traffic coming from Puranapul, Goodwill Hotel and Moosabowli will not be allowed towards Nayapool via, High Court Gate No-1 along the Musi River and it will be diverted at Muslimjung Bridge towards– Bhoolaxmi Temple- Begum Bazar- Chatri.

• The Traffic coming from Gowliguda and Siddiamber Bazar towards Nayapool will be diverted at Afzalgunj towards Muslimjung Bridge via Osmania General Hospital’s backside road along the Musi River or Shivaji Bridge.

Parking places for devotees

• Devotees coming from the Aliabad side shall park their vehicles at Devi Plywood opposite to Post office, Shalibanda in a single line on the main road and Alka Theatre open place.
  
• Devotees coming from Hari Bowli & Gowlipura side shall park their vehicles at Arya Vyshya Mandir Opp. Sudha Theater Lane, Alka Theatre open place, VDP School Ground and Mithra Sports Club.
  
• Devotees coming from Old PS Chatrinaka side shall park their vehicles in the premises of Apsara Menaka Talkies open place, Sree Venkateswara Temple, Laxmi Nagar, Saraswathi Vidyanikethan, Govt. Jr. Collage, Falaknuma, Phoolbagh Chaman Ground near Pattar ki darga.
  
• Devotees coming from Moosabowli & Mirchowk sides shall park their vehicles at Charminar Bus Terminal.

• Procession vehicles single line parking at Delhi Gate.

The city police have requested the citizens to avoid the above routes and take alternative routes to reach their destinations without any hindrance.

The police asked the citizens to cooperate with the traffic police.
