Hyderabad: The newly launched Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE) conducted surprise inspections at multiple online grocery storage areas across Hyderabad on Saturday, August 22, uncovering gross food safety violations.
Raids were held at 20 such stores of BigBasket, Blinkit and Zepto under the Core Urban Region (CURE) area.
Food articles were found stored in an unhygienic manner. Many bore expired labels.
Further action would be taken based on the inspection findings and laboratory reports.
