Hyderabad: Bollywood actress Kiara Advani received a grand welcome from Telugu fans as she arrived in Hyderabad for the pre-release event of her upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.
The event was held at Malla Reddy University in Dulapally on Saturday, August 22. During an interaction on stage, the host asked Kiara about her connection with the Telugu audience and how it felt to return to Hyderabad.
Sharing that this was her first visit to the city since welcoming her daughter, Kiara said, “I honestly feel like I come home every time I come here. I actually haven’t come ever since I delivered my baby, so this is the first time I am coming.”
The actress appeared visibly touched by the enthusiastic reception she received from the students and fans gathered at the venue.
“Such a warm welcome! There is really no audience like the Telugu audience. The way they shower their love and welcome us is truly special. Thank you to all the students here today. Seeing this much love is a blessing,” she added.
Kiara and her husband, actor Sidharth Malhotra, welcomed their first child, daughter Saraayah, on July 15, 2025. Her appearance at the Toxic event therefore marked her return to Hyderabad after embracing motherhood.
The actress already shares a strong connection with Telugu moviegoers. She made her Telugu debut opposite Mahesh Babu in Bharat Ane Nenu before appearing alongside Ram Charan in Vinaya Vidheya Rama and Game Changer.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic stars Yash in the lead alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide on August 26, 2026.
