Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police have announced 24-day traffic diversions on the Nallagandla-Tellapur road for stormwater drain repair work beginning Saturday, August 22.
The repair work involves laying an RCC stormwater pipeline from SBI Bank to MM Wine Mart in Tellapur to address waterlogging at the SBI Tellapur junction during heavy rains.
According to the traffic advisory issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic-I, Cyberabad, one side of the road near SBI Tellapur will be completely closed to facilitate the work.
Traffic will be regulated on the opposite side of the road between the SBI Tellapur U-turn and MM Wines U-turn, covering about 300 metres.
The traffic police warned that vehicular movement through the stretch is likely to be slow and congestion may occur during the construction period.
Commuters have been urged to use alternative routes as follows:
Commuters travelling from Nallagandla Circle towards Tellapur, Osman Nagar and ORR Exit-2 will be diverted through the available side of the road between the SBI Tellapur U-turn and MM Wines U-turn. Traffic moving from Nallagandla towards Osman Nagar and Kollur has been advised to take the route via Nallagandla Circle–Neo Mall.
Commuters travelling from Tellapur Circle towards RC Puram have been advised to use the route via Tellapur Circle–Saibaba Temple–Railway Under Bridge–Old MIG–RC Puram.
For traffic moving from Kollur and Osman Nagar towards Gachibowli, the suggested route is Kollur–Osman Nagar–Aliens Junction–My Home Sayuk–Gopanpally Junction–Gowlidoddy–Wipro Circle–IIT Junction–Gachibowli.
“Diversions are being implemented to ensure the stormwater drainage works are completed smoothly while maintaining traffic movement in the surrounding areas,” the Cyberabad traffic police said.
