Dubai: An elderly woman who got separated from her husband at Dubai International Airport (DXB) was reunited 15 minutes before their flight.

In a video published by DXB on Instagram, Mohammed Sohrabi, duty officer for terminal service delivery, said that he encountered an elderly woman who was panicked about her husband’s whereabouts, with no communication and only 45 minutes left for their flight to depart.

The couple was en route from Sydney to Glasgow, with a stopover in Dubai.

He said, “I was able to communicate the issue with my team and sent a picture of the man to everyone. I asked them to search for him. Fortunately, in the last 15 minutes, I was able to find him and they got to catch the flight. They were really happy.”

“Hospitality means serving our guests as they are in our home. I learnt this from my grandmother who is above 90 years old. She is one of my role models in terms of hospitality and helping others,” added Sohrabi, who has been working at DXB for the past 33 years. “It was an unforgettable memory for me.”
