Bengaluru biker clears 100 traffic violation cases in one go

The rider took advantage of the Karnataka government's special traffic fine settlement scheme, under which violators are being offered a 50 per cent discount on pending fines.

Bengaluru: In a striking example of Bengaluru’s ongoing crackdown on traffic violations, a two-wheeler rider cleared as many as 100 pending traffic violation cases registered against a single motorcycle by paying a lump-sum fine at the Rajajinagar Traffic Police Station.

The rider took advantage of the Karnataka government’s special traffic fine settlement scheme, under which violators are being offered a 50 per cent discount on pending fines. As a result, he paid Rs 27,500 to settle all 100 cases registered against his vehicle.

According to traffic police officials, the rider visited the Rajajinagar Traffic Police Station and voluntarily cleared the accumulated penalties. He also reportedly assured police that he would strictly follow traffic rules in the future and avoid repeated violations.
