Hyderabad: At least two people were injured in an accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) after a car crashed into a median and rammed another car on Monday, June 22.

The accident occurred under the Keesara Police Station limits after the driver reportedly fell asleep. After being alerted, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a hospital and initiated an investigation into the accident.

A case of causing injury due to rash and negligent driving was registered under section 125(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the police said.

Previous incident

On June 14, one person died and another was injured in an accident at the ORR in Ghatkesar Police Station limits. The accident occurred at 7:30 am when a car rammed a lorry while travelling from Ghatkesar to Keesara.

Speaking to Siasat.com, an official from the Keesara Police said that the deceased was identified as Kiran and the injured was identified as Mani Teja.
