Riyadh: A Saudi man divorced his wife after three months of marriage as she reportedly blocked him on WhatsApp following a dispute, local media reported on Tuesday.

According to Arabic daily Okaz, at the time of their wedding, the Saudi man had given the woman 50,000 Saudi riyals and some gold as part of his religious obligation.

A dispute arose between the couple that was scheduled to hold a wedding party in the next few days. As matters escalated, the woman blocked the man and he was unable to communicate with her.
