Qazi Obaidur Rahman Hashmi

Qazi Obaidur Rahman Hashmi is a distinguished Professor of Urdu at Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi. He completed his M.A. in Urdu with First Division in 1971 from Aligarh Muslim University. He earned his Ph.D. in 1975 from the same university, with a dissertation titled “Art of Iqbal’s Poetry.” Dr. Hashmi is a prolific writer, having authored nine books and more than 100 articles published both in India and internationally. He continues to impart his knowledge and passion for Urdu as an Adjunct Faculty member at the Department of Urdu, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Professor Hashmi’s dedication to Urdu literature and education has left an indelible mark on the academic world
