New Delhi: Gulshan, a resident of Haji Colony who is protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019 and National Register of Citizens (NRC) at Shaheen Bagh broke down into tears while talking to Ravish Kumar of NDTV. \n\n\n\n\nhttps:\/\/twitter.com\/ndtv\/status\/1215339817254281216\n\n\n\n\nStruggle to save Constitution\n\n\n\nShe said, "Govt. is asking documents to prove citizenship despite the fact that our grandparents were the citizens of India". \n\n\n\nReacting on Amit Shah\u2019s statement,\nGulshan questioned, 'why is Union Minister not ready to give citizenship to the\nMuslims?'\n\n\n\nConsoling the woman, Ravish Kumar\nsaid, 'It is our responsibility to come and say to Gulshan that we are with you'.\n \n\n\n\nKumar further told that this is the struggle to save the constitution and it is not the fight for any religion as is being portrayed by some media persons.\n\n\n\nProtests in Hyderabad\n\n\n\nIt may be mentioned that protests\nare taking place against the controversial laws across the country. \n\nIn\nHyderabad too, protests intensified after Million March and Tiranga Rally.
