Firozabad: After a clash between two student groups, a\ncollege in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh has banned entry of girl\nstudents wearing Islamic hijab or burqa.\n\n\n\n\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bWFLVhKu_YI\n\n\n\n\nJustifying the ban, the management of SRK College said anti-social\nelements freely enter the college premises and create trouble. As reported by\nTimes Now News, the college administration has also set a dress code for\nstudents and warned to bar the students from entering the college if they violate\nthe dress code.\n\n\n\nTwo groups of students clashed on Friday at the SRK College located\nat Kotla Road, resulting in stone-pelting. Following the incident, three youths\nwere arrested on the charges of beating up a student at the college and outside\nin the street. \n\n\n\nBelieving that some outsiders were involved in the clash at\nthe college, Muslim girl students have also been asked to follow the dress code\nand remove their hijabs. \n\n\n\nProtesting against the college administration diktat, Muslim\ngirl students have demanded that the decision be revoked. They alleged that\nthey were threatened with batons at the college gate.\n\n\n\nSaying that burqa is not part of the dress code, the college\nprincipal said the entry of Muslim girl students will be banned.
